    Cat
    By: Catriona
    Sleeping heavenly
    The cat lies still
    Eyes clinched closed
    Paws up
    Rests little head
    In the gentle pillow
    Creamy, brown, fluff
    Small ears
    So little
    Face up
    Won’t open eyes
Until he feels it is right
    Comfortable
    Laying
    In the furry thin skin

    Puppy
    By Pavneet
    Indoors
    The puppy starts to run
    Then jumps
    Ears up
    Comes forward energetically
    Jumps
With no paws on the ground
Midnight colored eyes look straight forward
    Little chocolate colored nose
    Wiggles
    Cloud colored fluffy fur
    Moves in the air
    Little dark dots
    On its toes
    Running
    Then jumping
    Freely

We started our poetry unit this year with some fun poems from Take Me Out of the Bathtub by Alan Katz.
We then created our own Silly Dilly Poems. Here are two.
